TOURNAMENT ENTRY DEADLINE DATE POLICY

The tournament entry deadline date will be strictly enforced for all Senior Golf Association of Fort Wayne tournaments. However the Tournament Committee does have the discretion to allow the deadline to remain open.

REFUND POLICY of TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEE

Tournament entry fees are not refundable. However, if the player notifies the President of the Senior Golf Association of Fort Wayne, prior to 24 hours of the first scheduled tee time of the tournament, then consideration for a refund may be granted.

NO REFUND will be granted for players who fail to meet their scheduled tee time for the Tournament.

Certain expenses are incurred by the Senior Golf Association of Fort Wayne based on the number of entries received. Due to this we must protect the integrity of our association when considering these refunds.

BAD CHECK POLICY

Any check returned to the Senior Golf Association of Fort Wayne office for any reason, shall place the player on immediate “Suspension of all present and future Tournament Play”.

Reinstatement: The player will be reinstated only after the “check” has been made good plus reimbursement of any cost incurred by the Senior Golf Association of Fort Wayne.

Future Payments: All future Tournament Entries must be paid in “Cash” or “Money Order”.

The Senior Golf Association of Fort Wayne Board of Directors may amend the “Future Payment” provision based on the circumstances of the “bad check”.

CERTIFICATE PAYOUT POLICY

The total number of entries received less certain administrative cost determines the amount of the total “Certificate Payout”. The amount of each certificate is determined by using the “Senior Golf Association of Fort Wayne Payoff Schedule”. In most tournaments approximately 30% of the total field will receive a certificate. Any tournament with a specified number of players i.e. Senior Golf Association of Fort Wayne Senior City Championship is excluded from this paragraph.

Except for those tournaments where a “playoff” is used to determine a winner, all ties will be split, except for the last payoff position, which is determined by using the “back-up” system from the 18th hole of the last round.

“Certificate Payout” for each Age Group (flight) will be split based on the total number of players in the flight.

PACE OF PLAY POLICY

Players are expected to play WITHOUT DELAY (Rule 6-7).
Rule 6-7 Undue Delay; Slow Play
“The player shall play without undue delay and in accordance with any Pace of Play guidelines which may be laid down by the Committee: Between completion of a hole and playing from the next teeing ground, the player shall not unduly delay play.”
All groups should play at an “Expected Pace” of NO MORE THAN 15 minutes per hole. If a group is not playing at the “Expected Pace” then they should at all times be up with the group in front of them. If any group that falls a hole behind and is not playing at the “Expected Pace” the players in the group may be timed. Any player who exceeds 45 seconds ON ANY SHOT WILL BE GIVEN A WARNING; A SECOND VIOLATION WILL RESULT IN A PENALTY STROKE; A THIRD VIOLATION WILL RESULT IN TWO STROKES: AND A FOURTH WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.
