Welcome to the Senior Golf Association of Fort Wayne

Hello Senior Golfers,

The 2024 golf season is quickly approaching, and we have some exciting challenges to address . The first thing we would like to do is to thank the founding fathers and the long standing past board of directors for their leadership, we wouldn’t have a strong foundation and participation without them.

The first order of business was to discuss the future direction of the association. After discussions we have decided that it would be best if the Fort Wayne Senior Golf Association merges with the FWGA with the understanding that our tournaments will be run by the senior board. There were multiple reasons for this merger:

• the use of Blue Golf for the tournaments
• the ease and continuous update of the player database
• ease of tournament & membership registration,
• location for most of Fort Wayne’s golf info on one site
• the creation of a Senior POY using the FWGA tournaments and the Sr. City

One of the founding ideas was to have the Senior City at the area country clubs, this is becoming more difficult, but it is something we are working hard to continue. Any help to continue this from country club members or staff is always welcomed.
